Philosophy

1. Growing with Nature

At ART IN DAYCARE, nature is at the heart of our program.

One of the special things about our home daycare is our large private backyard, where children can safely experience nature throughout all four seasons.

In spring, children explore blooming tulips, daffodils, magnolia, and seasonal flowers through sensory and imaginative play. In summer, they enjoy water, sand, and wood-chip play under the cool shade of our mature trees. In fall, children can pick apples and pears from our own fruit trees and play among the falling leaves. And when winter brings snow, our spacious backyard becomes an exciting place for all eight children to explore and play together.

Our backyard is more than a playground—it is a living classroom where children can touch, discover, observe, and grow with nature every day.

At ART IN DAYCARE, children don’t need to go far to experience the wonders of nature. They simply step outside.

2. Infant & Toddler Specialists

At ART IN DAYCARE, we specialize exclusively in caring for infants and toddlers from 0–36 months.

These early years are a time of rapid growth and change. A baby who is not yet walking has very different needs from an active two-year-old. That is why our environment, routines, activities, and care are thoughtfully designed around the developmental stages of infants and toddlers.

Our youngest children have a dedicated infant space where they can safely crawl, explore, and play at their own pace, while older toddlers have spaces designed for their growing mobility and independence.

With a small group and attentive educators, we are able to know each child closely and provide care that responds to their individual needs.

From first crawls to first steps and beyond, we are here for these important first years.

3. Creativity in Every Day

At ART IN DAYCARE, creativity is an important part of early development.

For infants and toddlers, creativity begins with the freedom to explore, experiment, imagine, and express themselves.

Our educators thoughtfully design age-appropriate programs that encourage creativity through art, sensory play, circle time, story time, music, and dance. Each activity is carefully planned to inspire curiosity, engage the senses, and give children opportunities to express themselves in their own unique ways.

We believe every child is naturally creative, and our role is to give that creativity room to grow.
